These shorts pretty much deliver what they claim. If you search around enough (not necessarily on Amazon) you can get a wide variety of colours, which is a nice change from boring black.I managed to get seven colours I like.
These are (as far as I'm aware) no-name brand shorts.Maybe Mizuno are a big fashion brand somewhere, but I had never heard of them.If you're super brand conscious then you probably won't want them.I hate being a walking advert, so the fact that the small logo (bizarrely located on the inside leg) pealed off after a couple of washes was a feature to me rather than a flaw.
I would have liked them to have been a bit higher-rise, but then I'm 6'1", so others probably wouldn't mind the way they are and low-rise is how they're pitched.
I use them mostly when riding a recumbent exercycle with a well-padded seat. These short work well for that, and are vastly cheaper than padded cycling shorts, which aren't available in these interesting colours.Beats boring black any day.
One final point of advise:These shorts are great if you want to look and feel good when you're getting your exercise, but if you exercise hard, be ready for sweat to change the colour of the shorts - in patches, since none of us leaks uniformly. You may wear this as a badge of honour, of course, but if you don't like the idea of wet patches showing, you might want to stick with the darker colours.
